TOUCHING LIVES - BUILDING PEOPLEPastor David Mahero was one of the many pastors who was not able to go to Bible School because he could not read or write English.However, since he found out that Covenant Ministries offered Bible Courses in Swahili, he was therefore able to complete the Covenant Disciples Bible Courses and his life and his ministry changed. Today he pastors a flourishing church that has grown from 3 to over 50 members in only a few months. Pastor Pius did not have a good education as a child and therefore was also not able to attend a Bible School, with the result that whenever he went to a pastors seminar of the church organization he is part of, he was not fully recognized by the other pastors, neither was he ever consulted about anything. However, since he was able to study and complete the Covenant Disciples Bible Courses, things have changed, and the fruit of his studies is evident. Today he can boast of not only having become a good Bible teacher, but also of being accepted by his peers and is even asked to share at the pastors seminars, |

| The Art of Hearing God ... an ear to Hear! |
Throughout the Bible and so often when Jesus taught, ... He would say this, But I say to you who hear: --- Luke 6:27 And even Jesus’ last recorded words to the Church was, He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. --- Rev. 3:22 Now you may well say, “we all have ears, we all hear!” However that is not what Jesus was saying at all. Of course we all have ears, Jesus could see that, ... but what He was actually saying was, He who has ears to hear, let him hear! --- Luke 8:8 God made this very clear when He sent Ezekiel to Israel, … to an Israel that was rebellious and disobedient, to warn them of the country’s invasion and the siege of Jerusalem. Israel was obviously NOT listening to God, so He sent a rather young Ezekiel to them, … with this instruction, He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse. --- Ezek. 3:27 So what was God saying to Israel, and also to us? The Art of Hearing God ... an ear to Hear! |
