Going all the way...!

Wherever you go or whatever you do ...
If you allow God to direct your steps ...
... He will confirm His Word as you go!

A man's heart plans his way,
But the LORD directs his steps.
Prov 16:9

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth,
to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.
2 Chron 16:9

And they went out and preached everywhere,
the Lord working with them
and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.
Mark 16:20

Travelling via Nairobi to Tanzania ...
I took the opportunity to minister to some pastors in the Nairobi area.

Redeemers Faith Mission, Nairobi.

Sinai African Church of the Holy Spirit, Nairobi

Being able to minister to pastors who are eager to learn ...
... and open to God's Word, is a real privilege ...
But ... to be able to minister across denominational barriers,
and to begin building bridges between different Church groups,
... in the Body of Christ, is an even greater blessing!
...
I thank God for providing more and more opportunities to do just that!
... as He did during this trip via Nairobi to Tanzania ...
... totally ignoring doctrinal differences ...
... simply concentrating on His Word and His presence!
Praise God!

Conquering Kilimanjaro (...an exhaustive trip)

Pastors Dawson and Timothy (Covenant Ministries Kenya) ...
... had come by road from Kitale to meet me and to accompany me to Tanzania.
Having learnt from our previous trip to Uganda ...
... we took extra care to ensure that the vehicle was properly serviced ...
... checked, all wheels tightened and prayed over!
As we drove out of the service station to begin our 1500km journey ...
... we heard a scraping noise as we passed over a hump in the driveway ...
Should we stop? ... "No, nothing serious" we thought not wanting to waste any time ...
and were on our way to Arusha in Tanzania ... over 250km away!

Well just as we crossed the border into Tanzania ...
... we had our first of a number of "exhaustive" stops ...
Nothing serious ... but irritating and time comsuming!
We should have acted on what we learnt on the previous trip ...
"Listen to the first voice you hear!"
For that little crack in the exhaust was to bother us all the way!
A mistake not to be repeated again next time!

At least you have time to reflect and also to meet and spend time with the locals!!!

Ministering in Arusha...!

We arrived in Arusha, Tanzania around 12 noon, and in true African custom ...
... we were directly taken to the senior Pastor's home ...
... where his wife served us a 3 course traditional meal ...
(Fried fish, grilled chicken, spicy beef with vegetables, rice and maize)

Main Road Arusha, Tanzania.

After lunch I ministered at the City Christian Revival Celebration Center in Arusha ...
... to some of the leaders and pastors of the CCRCC in Arusha ...

Church welcoming Committee ... The City Christian Revival Celebration Center

Inside the Revival Celebration Center ... with chairs that tell their own story!

For the next day, the leaders of the CCRCC church had arranged ...
... a meeting with pastors and leaders from Arusha and the surrounding towns and villages,
... where I ministered and introduced the Covenant Disciples Bible Courses ...
It is simply wonderful to see the hungry hearts of pastors and leaders alike!

Ministering to over 60 pastors and leaders from Arusha & surrounding area.

City Christian Revival Celebration Center Pastors and leaders!

Through the Serengeti plains...

Early the next morning we left for Kilifi about 600km away.
Our trip would take us past Kilimanjaro and the Serengeti plains, down to the coast.
Pity, mount Kilimanjaro was covered in clouds, and the only photo I got was from over 80km away.

No, it is not a cloud, it really is Kilimanjaro, right there in the center!

The Serengeti was absolutely beautiful although very dry, hot and DUSTY!
Over 100 kms on a dusty gravel road ...

... no wonder Ps. Dawson's clothes were no longer black!

... to Kilifi.

Pastor Julius Mumba of the Chinook Winds Christian Center in Kilifi,
... had planned 2 meetings with about 30 pastors from the Kilifi area ...
... where I also introduced The Covenant Disciples Bible Courses ...

Not only was the ministry appreciated, and the courses heartily welcomed ...
... but most of the pastors have signed up to do the courses themselves.

Between the meetings, we were again treated to some coastal delights ...

... enjoying the cool breeze, in an open air thatch roofed diningroom!

Before dawn the next morning we were on our way, back to Nairobi ...
... some 700 km inland (liberally endowed with pot holes) ...
... for one last meeting and then on my way back to Zurich.
Tired after 12 hours of driving, and quite honestly ...
... not at all in the mood to teach or minister ...
... we reached Ruiru near Nairobi just as the sun was setting!

The leaders of the Bethel Church, representing some 115 churches ...
... were eagerly waiting for our arrival.
Not wanting to waste any time, we started immediately ...
3 hours later, refreshed from an anointed meeting and a finger supper ...
... we made our way to Nairobi and bed!
Praise God ...
He certainly confirmed His Word ... all the way!
A perfect finish to a blessed ministry trip through Tanzania and Central Kenya!

Next time... Zimbabwe!

Harare Zimbabwe ...
