Too often we only look at the circumstances we can see ...
... and yes, often the circumstances do look impossible ...
... as they do in Zimbabwe, with super inflation ...
... kilometer long queues for fuel and virtually empty food stores ...
Yet, does that limit God?
No!
For God says ... "Stay, don't run ...
... trust in Me and do good where you are!"

Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
Trust in the LORD, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Delight yourself also in the LORD,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
Psalm 37:1-6

How do you deal with and minister to people in a country ...
... where there is no food, work and often ... no hope!
LOVE...!

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three;
but the greatest of these is love.
1 Cor 13:13

God says "Love (agape) ... Give, trust in Me and feed on my faithfulness!"

It is not about what you have or don't have ...
... but what God can do and wants to do ...

"If we will trust in Him, and do good (love=give) ...
... dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness!"

No matter where you are or what the circumstances are!

And my God shall supply all your need
... according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

In June '02 Bishop Stephen Ndawona of Harare contacted me ...
... wanting to know more about the Covenant Disciples Bible Courses ...
Having been built-up and much blessed through the courses himself ...
... he became more and more convinced that not only should he benefit
through studying the courses, but so should his associated pastors ....

... including the church group and their communities throughout Zimbabwe!

In the cities (Harare) ... the Townships (Chitungwisa) and in the countryside.

So, Bishop Ndawona invited me to Zimbabwe ...
... to teach and to introduce the Covenant Disciples Bible courses ...
... and training concept, to pastors from all over Zimbabwe.

Sounds easy enough ...
... but considering the social and financial problems of Zimbabawe ...
Hyper inflation with over 60% unemployed ...
Kilometer long queuing over a couple of days, for fuel, oil and gas ...
... and most shops and supermarkets with empty shelves ...
What do you take along?
What do you teach there?

What would teachings on prosperity mean to them?
Very little ...
What difference would some money and a little food make?
None ...

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,
but have not love,
I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy,
and understand all mysteries and all knowledge,
and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains,
but have not love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor,
and though I give my body to be burned,
but have not love, it profits me nothing.
1 Cor 13:1-3

But to show them God's heart (love) ...
... to show them their value in His eyes ...
... to show them your heart ...
... and to give what you have ...
That ... will make a difference!

Not the love of principles and words ...

If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,
and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,"
but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body,
what does it profit?
Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
James 2:15-17

But the love of faith and works ...
... the love that reaches out and does ...
AGAPE ... to give!

Having invited my old prayer partner, Dirk Franck from Johannesburg to join me ...
... we travelled together from Johannesburg to Zimbabwe, taking with us ...
... a big suitcase full of clothes ...
... two boxes of English Bibles ...
... money to purchase more Shona Bibles ...
... finances to help pay for the conference costs!
... and ...
Trust in God for a breakthrough in the people's lives ...
... and victory in the spirit realm!

And we were not disappointed !!!

I ministered in 5 anointed tent meetings,
... not because the tent was hot (and it was ! )
... but because the people were on fire for God ...
and the message was simple
... Love / Agape ...

"Look to see where you can give ... of what you do have (1 John 4:20-21)
... and if it is in your heart to give above what you have ...
... trust God who put that desire there, to meet that need (Psalm 37:3-5)
If your heart is loyal to God ... (by reaching out to your brother)
... God will show Himself strong on your behalf (2 Chron. 16:9)

It is wonderful to see people not just soaking up the Word...
... but starting to live what they have received!!!

... of mighty things ... by God and for God ...
... that are happening and will continue to happen ...
... in these pastors lives and in the lives of the people of Zimbabwe!

... Bible Courses and Teaching material to Pastors and leaders in underprivileged areas all over the world,
such as Africa, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, South America, Jamaica, Eastern Europe ... etc.
to equip them to touch the lives of the people in their own areas.

To (fully) accomplish our mission we need ...
... Your help and support in prayer and in finances ...
For the ministry to grow and fulfill its mission, more time, effort and resources are required,
which in turn necessitates more support and more finances.

Pastors are constantly signing up and many have already completed the Foundation Courses ...
But ... many thousands more are still to be reached ...
And ...
To be able to reach all those pastors (and their churches) in the towns and villages of Africa ...
... we not only need Bibles, Bible Courses, material and opportunity to go there ...
... we also need equipment and facilities ...

At present we have a number of pastors ...
... in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda ...
... who are going out into remote villages and mountain areas ...
... ON FOOT ...
to present and teach the courses there...
We not only want to give them material to take along...
... but give them each a bicycle ...
... so they can be more effective and reach more places.

In Webuye, Kenya ...
... the Covenant Disciples Bible School, with already 45 students ...
is in its second semester ... without a fixed home!
They are raising funds to purchase property and to erect a building ...
We would like to support them in this project ...
