Over the past two centuries, Christian missionaries have
done an outstanding job of taking the gospel of Jesus Christ, the "Good
News" to the people of Africa. Yet at the same time, very little has
been done about teaching local African pastors the Word or training and
equipping them for ministry.
Considering also that, for missionary work to be truly effective, it
should be done by the local pastors who have a much clearer
understanding of how the locals think, their traditions and their
needs. It is therefore of the utmost importance that not only Word
based training be made available to the local pastors everywhere, but
it should be easily accessible, affordable and even at no cost.
Knowing that a very small percentage of African pastors can afford to
go to a Bible College, whether in Africa or abroad, the obvious
solution is to provide the training where the need is , where the
pastors are ... and in this case, in Africa ...
| Accepting the Challenge...! |
Teaching and equipping the pastors of Africa, in Africa, is
the challenge that Covenant Ministries has accepted and indeed is busy
accomplishing ...

... pastor by pastor ...

... church by church ...

... village by village ... town by town ...

... graduation by graduation ...
and ...
... country by country!
The
Covenant Disciples Bible Course opened my eyes to God’s Word in a
mighty way,
turning my way of thinking totally around, and bringing an increase in
my
ministry and work. At the same time the Bicycles for Africa Ministry
has given
me the opportunity to reach places I would otherwise not have been able
to.

| Bicycles for Africa Ministry ... |
With the growth of Bicycles for Africa
Ministry in Western Kenya to 9 pastors ministering in 13 villages, and
more pastors who have recently graduated from the
Covenant Disciples Bible Course, we have been blessed that Pastor Harun
Shikuku has volunteered to supervise the bicycle ministry and in
particular to supervise the maintainance of the bicycles.
Pastor Harun Shikuku...
on his way to Transzoia for a
Bible Training session.
On
the 15th of October I will be travelling to Southern Africa,
for introductory and outreach meetings ...
with Pastors Fellowships and Church Groups ...
... in ...
Harare, Queensdale, Sunningdale, Norton
and Chitungwiza in Zimbabwe ...
... and in ...
Palm Ridge (Alberton) Eden Park, Katlehong
and Boksburg, Gauteng, South Africa
...
Covenant Disciples Bible Courses are not only available in English,
but have over the past year been translated into ...
... Arabic, French and Swahili ...
... and that is not all ...
because at present the courses are also being translated into ...
... Portuguese and Spanish ...
This has not only made reaching local pastors easier ...
but has also opened up ministry opportunities ...
... not just all over Africa ... but indeed, all over the world.
Praise God ... His Word really works!

Thank you once again ...
... to all of you who are supporting us and standing with us ...
Remember, it’s those prayers and continued support that make it
possible for us to reach the pastors & people, to touch and
change their lives … forever !
It truly is GOOD soil that we are sowing into ...
... and I believe for an ever increasing harvest!
Hallelujah !
