... was broken through man's sin, separating man from God, ... from His provision ... And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. ... and from the source of life! |
Jesus came to restore that relationship ... I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. ... to restore us to the source of life, ... and to His provision! And the Word became flesh

Restoring us to His presence, ... to the fullness of His promises, and the right to enter His throneroom! But even more than that, restoring that personal relationship with God! |

God is a personal God ... Who not only personally visited man ... And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. ---
Gen. 3:8
Who not only personally worked with man ... Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. ---
Gen. 2:19
But put His personality, His character in man ... Creating man in His Image ... His inner Image, character & personality! God Almighty, who calls Himself our Father, ... because He wants to know us personally, ... because He wants us to know Him personally ... Who says this about that personal relationship He desires to have with us ... For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. --- Heb.

A special relationship ... A personal relationship! That releases all that God planned for us and promised to us! |

Yes, God promised to be ... to us ... all that He is, God Almighty! And we in turn ... are to Him ... all that we are! A Special Covenant Relationship ... In which God says ... I want to give you My ALL ... as you do your part! But God, ...what is there I need to do? ... what is there I can DO? I have studied your Word, applied it to my life, Confessed those promises and stepped out in faith, ... yet something still seems missing! God what more is there that I must do? God wants to be God in our lives, and do what we can't, Yet looking at the Body of Christ, and seeing what state is was in, Jesus said this to the church, to us ... Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. --- Rev. 3:20 But Lord, are we not studying your Word, doing your Word, confessing your Word, standing in faith on the Word! But Lord, are we not speaking your Word, standing in prayer on the Word!
Well, that is actually at the root of the problem. What do our prayers really sound like? What are our prayer meetings or prayer times like? We pray and tell God what it is that we need, ... we pray and tell God what we believe, ... what He promised to do, ... what we expect Him to do for us! We thank Him for the answers, ... we praise Him for the Word and the supply ... My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory! And our morning prayers sound something like this ... This is the day that the Lord has made, ... I will rejoice and be glad in it! Lord, I thank You for your Word and promises, ... Your Word shall not return to You void, but it shall accomplish what You desire, I thank You for all your blessings and provision, I am blessed coming in and going out, I am above and not beneath, Thank You Lord, ALL my needs are met! Ever thought what God thinks of that kind of prayer? To me it sounds just like a shopping list! God, You do this and You do that ... You supply and You provide! What ever happened to the Covenant Relationship, ... that we have or should have with God? All we are doing is telling God what we want, ... what we expect of Him! and ... ... that is not the covenant He made with us! For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. --- Heb.

If God is GOD, what does that mean? If we are His people, what does that mean? Who is taking the lead? Who is listening to Whom? Who has the problems and the questions? Who has the answers? Did not Jesus also say to us ... For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. If God has promised to, and He has! And, If God knows what we need before we ask! Then, ... what should our communication, ... our prayer time with God be all about? God simply said... Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' ---

Who needs an answer? We do! Who has the answers? God does! Then tell me this ... ... why are YOU doing ALL the talking? We spend hours upon hours talking to God, ... telling Him what we need, expect and what we believe! We even spend hours telling God how great He is, ... praising Him and exalting Him! And there is nothing wrong with that, in fact it's wonderful! Yet ... When are we actually giving God the chance to be God in our lives? When are we actually giving God the chance to speak into our lives? But I thought God did that through His Word? Well, if that is the case, ... then why did God say ... Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' ---

And why did Jesus say ... However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. ---

16:13
All through the Bible God tells us to heed His voice! To listen to Him, and to do what He says! In fact the one scripture that deals with God's intentions to bless us, ... to show Himself strong on our behalf, is very direct about what we should be doing ... Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God: --- Deut.
28:1-2
God says quite plainly ... "If you will obey My voice!" "If you will observe My commandments!" and again ... "Because you obey My voice!" And Jesus in Revelation plainly says ... "If anyone hears My voice!" It is all about a personal relationship! God wants to speak to us, ... He wants us to hear His voice! For God to be God in our lives, ... we need to listen to Him! For Jesus to be Lord in our lives, ... we need to hear His voice! For the Holy Spirit to be our guide, ... we need to hear His instructions! But, what about God's Word? Does this mean His Word is not important? Does this mean His Word does not work? No! not at all! God's Word is and remains His will, ... His plans and purposes, ... and His promises to us! So what is the difference? God's Word is His plan, ... what He will do! ... how he will do it! ... why He will do it! God's voice is the direction, ... the personal connection! Where and when He will do it for YOU! Only as you hear His voice, ... can He tell you things you don't know, ... those things about your life that are not written in the Bible! Only as you hear the Holy Spirit's voice, ... can He tell you things to come, ... things that are about to happen in your life that's not written in the Bible! It is personal ... its you and God! Change your prayer life, ... to not just speaking to God, ... but to hearing Him for your life!

My
heart is to see people reached everywhere in the villages
and the cities, and in particular the youth, to see them trained in God's Word from Nursery school all the way to the University. If we reach and impact the youth, we will have a great nation. I have also have a dream to see the hurting healed and ministered to through acts of compassion. When I came in contact with Covenant Ministries I saw this being demonstrated and not just preached. One such project, that I myself was also involved in, was the drought relief project in which Covenant Ministries provided over 200 families with relief food. Covenant Ministry has sharpened me in a lot of ways. I used to preach or teach what I didn’t know, I was trying to imitate other people. Life wasn’t at all real to me, I was faking what I didn’t know. Since becoming part of Covenant Ministries, life has become real, with the result that I am extremely blessed and able to testify that I am free from so much pressure. Through working with Covenant Ministries, doors have opened for me to get to know school administrators, government officials and other important people in high positions that will help me achieve my vision for the youth. At the same time our church has also grown and we are having to look for a bigger place for our meetings. We have taught people to work and apply covenant principles in their lives, and we have seen this work in their lives and life has become easier for them. Personally I have learnt to benefit other ministries without expecting anything from them but God has reward us openly. My
mission is to reach out to the youth at schools and colleges
with the Covenant Disciples Bible Courses to stand with this ministry and see lives everywhere changed and transformed.  |
My
vision is to teach the word of God with simplicity.
Pastor Harun Shikuku.This has always been my heart, even before I came in contact with Covenant Ministries. But, I used to teach or preach what was not a live in me. I just said what I didn’t understand. I was not real. But since coming into a covenant relationship with Covenant Ministries, my work has become easier. Life has changed, the Word of God has become a live in me. It is working.! My
life has improved a big deal, I am seeing my church grow, the word is
becoming fresh. I have began doing things with my hands and I am seeing
results. I have learnt to relate with people and it is working
positively. I have known Phileo and Agape and where to apply them.
My life has become a living example. My heart also is to have other people learn and see what I have learnt. ... to see people in the villages live well, ... to see them live victorious lives, ... to see life become real to them. Covenant Ministries - Bicycle for Africa Ministry makes it possible to get to those places and be part of changing their lives changed for the better. I have a heart to put a bicycle team together so many people out in the villages could be trained. That is all my heart wants to do. To see other equipped and to see them live victorious lives.
