Why is this so important? Because in essence … … our will, feelings, emotions and character … … the soul, our inner self … … is the image of God in us! "Let
Us make man in Our image, As the Apostle Paul also said … For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, --- Rom. 8:29 What is the inner Image of God? Is this inner image, the character of God … His soul? Does God have a soul? God Himself said …
What is the process? Well … … life is about living, about stepping into what God planned for us … … salvation is the door into that … … change is the process we have to go through … God is the goal. …

do not be conformed to this world, The one part, the most important part of man … the SOUL … is your responsibility! We have to use our will to change, … to receive God’s character in us! God renews the spirit … For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. --- Rom. 6:23 God restores the body … who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness -- by whose stripes you were healed. --- 1 Peter 2:24 God is the life giver … … in the spirit and in the body … God is also the opportunity giver … … He gave us His character and His ability … But we have to live this LIFE … … we have to put on His character … … we have to use that ability! |
We are responsible for what we do with what God has done for us! The provision is there … in Him! The potential is there … in Him! The promise is there … in Him! The ability is there … in us, by Him! But … The provision is there … for us to use! The potential is there … for us to use! The promise is there … for our benefit! The ability is there … to be used by us! What then is at the root or center of God’s plan and provision … … that releases that potential, the provision and promises? … that releases His ability and His power … His CHARACTER … His LOVE His character in us makes the connection … … and releases His power, in us, through us and for us! That is the underlying reason for creation … … to receive and to live by … what God planned and purposed! And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. --- Rom. 8:28-30 That image that God put in us when He created us … … His character! Therefore God says to us … but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. --- Rom. 12:2 We are unique … in His Image, with His ability and His power backing us up! … an awesome potential! We are also above all other creation … … with the right and ability to decide our own destiny! … an awesome potential! And an awesome responsibility … … for the choice between Life and Death, Blessing or Curse, Provision or Lack … … is mine! I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, --- Deut. 30:19 Remember, we are not responsible for the power, … to make it work … God is! We are only responsible for the decision … … and for seeing the decision through! Therefore God says to us … …
do not be conformed to this world, … so that the potential that is in us … … His ability and His power … can be released in our lives … It is up to us to make that step … … it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear --- 1 Peter 1:16-17 The final goal … Living in the fullness of God’s plan and purpose … For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, --- Rom. 8:29
What we are and what we become, depends on us, … God has given us the plan and opportunity … But we have to do the doing … I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. --- Rom. 12:1-2 The transformation starts with what you think … … or allow yourself to think … The way you think and whose standard you base your way of thinking on! What transforms us … is our way of thinking! What shapes us … is acting on what we think! Willing to act on God’s Word … and not your own will! I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. --- Rom. 12:1 Are you willing to subject yourself to God’s principles, ... to His standard? … presenting yourself a living sacrifice unto God … … a sacrifice that wants to change … … a sacrifice that wants to conform to God’s ways … … a sacrifice that wants to become holy and acceptable … ... not according to its own standard, … but according to God’s standard! A living sacrifice … … living unto God … … living for God … … living from God … Not conformed to this world, and its standard or way of thinking! But … transformed by adopting a new way of thinking! ... God's way of thinking! Transformed by subjecting what makes you unique, ... by subjecting what makes you special … … by subjecting your will … to God’s will …! Allowing God to renew your mind … … to govern your way of thinking, ... and your way of acting … to where your will fully lines up with His will!

Many pastors in my town complain that most
young people
are idle and thus a burden to their Churches and Ministries. The young people are uneducated, unemployed and end up in some or other criminal activity. I also experienced this in our church a while ago, but now I no longer complain. The young people in my church are a great blessing and an asset to us. After listening to pastor Jan's teaching, and doing the Covenant Disciples Bible Courses, I choose to apply those principles in my life and church. My wife and I took the lead and soon the young people began to follow our example. Pastor Jan presented one particular teaching on "GO DO" and use the ability God gave you in your own life. We began to teach it strongly in the church and even wrote songs that emphasized "doing" as it started to impact our members. |
True,
we knew there was very little or no employment opportunities,
but we also knew we could employ ourselves. As we began, the young people who previously were idle and aburden, also began doing different projects as God gave them ideas! At the same time, we are also initiating various projects in the church to uplift the standards of the people in our community. As I speak, our church has the biggest number of young people who are employment, doing small scale business and who are truly productive.  In
fact, we have been able to build our new church building and most of the finances have come from those young people. Thank you Covenant Ministries, and God bless pastor Jan for the revelation about "Go Do". Pastor
