We have been talking about relationship… our relationship with God. Any relationship needs to be built on a strong, solid foundation ... to be able to grow and develop! We have also looked at Character … … His Character in us! The foundation on which our relationship with God is built! Furthermore … we have also seen that the Character is made up of ... the Soul or Self … which is the image of God that He put in us … |
However … What our Character, ... our soul or SELF looks like, … or what it is like … and, … who is truly Lord of our lives … Depends on us … not God!
What is the essence of this Character? |

this we know love, God’s

does it mean to CONFORM to
the image of Jesus?
What
is this Kingdom of God? No! … it is not about seeking salvation, ... forgiveness or things! But ... it is about His character and His presence!
The
kingdom of God is
God’s character …
That’s
why we study God’s
Word, to seek His kingdom!
Christ
did not come to earth
for Himself …
What
was God’s will? Seeking His kingdom is about His Heart … His Character … … is about expressing His Love … to others! It is rather strange that … … although we are taught to put down SELF! Still so much of Christianity, church and religion … … is all about SELF, … my life, mySELF! And, … what God promised and will do in MY life! Yet … the kingdom of God is about His character … … and is all about expressing LOVE to others! It is not about rejecting SELF. or denying that SELF is important. But, … SELF being there for others, … SELF conforming to God’s image! The Kingdom of God is about reaching out to others … … and therefore about God’s glory filling the earth … How will God do that? Where is that glory? … on US … Psalm 8:1, Isa. 60:1 How will this glory manifest? You do that through what God has put in you! When we express … His Character, His Love! |
I am sure that the following scripture is not new to you …
Christ in you … the hope of glory! The first thought that comes to mind is … … the glorious presence and provision of God! Hey … we are already righteous, … and should be in His presence. So what is this glory, … this hope of glory that Christ’s presence brings? The hope of glory is, His image and His character in us, which is manifest in our lives, … as we conform to His image, by doing what He did … Living and expressing … LOVE. Reaching out to others with what we have … … not what we don’t have, but … with what we DO have! By, conforming to the FIRST thing that God told us to do … … in the Garden of Eden! Conforming to His image, Conforming to His character … … Love! Be fruitful… Abiding in Him, abiding in His love! By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. --- John 15:8
Living out what is inside of us! Showing others what is inside of us … … God’s character, to love, … to reach out to others! Being the salt (Matt. 5:13) that gives this earth the flavor of God … … that shows the world the character, the heart of God. LOVE! Being the light (Matt. 5:14) that shows the world the way to God … LOVE! In His Image, … conforming to His image, His character … In His Likeness, … being like Him and expressing what is in us! … His character! … His Love! Expressing the Glorious works of God … "Most assuredly, I say to you,he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. … (by what the Son does!) --- John 14:12-13

Through Covenant Ministries over the past
two years
my life has much changed and I have found direction and reason for my own ministry, right here in Maridadi where I live. I, like so many other people here, always thought that nothing good will ever come out of Maridadi, a place stricken by poverty, problems, sickness and witchcraft, ... but my perception has been totally changed. After I had been introduced to Covenant Ministries and learnt from Pastor Jan's teachings and the Bible Courses, I immediately wanted to share this with my own people and also the pastors in surrounding areas. Pastor Dawson of Covenant Ministries later asked me to join the bicycle ministry and before the year was over I was given a bicycle to assist me to be effective in reaching out to other people. Through Covenant Ministries and their assistance, life became easier for me. I have been able to do this work twice a week, and still have enough time for my family, church and my work at the farm. |
Although
we do not have much, I have also prospered in my finances.
We are working on our small land growing different kinds of vegetables, and this christmas we are able to also be a blessing to our community from what we have harvested on our small farm. We have encouraged the other christians in the area to also bring some of what they have harvested and together we will be able to bless the poor with some food ... this Christmas.  I
am so thankful to Covenant Ministries, first of all the teachings and then the bicycle which has been a great asset to me.. Thank
