We all have expectations, and naturally speaking
one would say that there is nothing wrong with having expectations!
The Bible on the other hand, in fact God Himself tells us …

Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.
--- Heb. 10:38

Does this mean that we should not have expectations?

Well, in the very next chapter in Hebrews, the Bible goes on to say … Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.. --- Heb. 11:1 This certainly would seem to indicate that faith expects, … that we should have a hopeful expectation, so that we would receive that which we have put our faith in. In other words, … that we will receive those things hoped for!	And again, Jesus in referring to things in our lives, said this to us … But seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. --- Luke 12:30 So, according to what Jesus said in Luke and in Matthew, ch.6, it would seem that receiving those things hoped for, … has nothing to do with expectations! In fact, Jesus linked it all directly with the Kingdom of God!

A Changed Life...

I come from Saboti in the mountains, and had thought I was a super star in the mountains.
For some time I had been running around preaching faith, thinking I knew it all.
I had assumed so many things, but after sitting under pastor Jan's teaching,
and also doing the Covenant Bible Courses, my eyes have been opened.

Right now I know how to present the word of God in the right way.
I have also learnt to build a real relationship with God, and
out of that relationship I know how to listen to God,
and therefore also what to minister to the people.

My life has changed - my family is healed.
I have learnt to be a father and my wife can testify to that.
I had been running everywhere thinking the Lord wanted me to preach everywhere
and never attended well to my family.

Not only that, I had been preaching what I didn't know
but I am so blessed to say that my life has totally changed.
The church is growing strongly, our lives have greatly improved,
and we have started bible classes in the mountain areas.
